How did you attract your target audience? (cont.)

My audience have been targeted firstly with the colour scheme used. I have used very typically feminine colours which my target audience said they liked best when I conducted market research. These colours are obviously appealing to the people who will be buying my magazine and they are bright and will therefore stand out when in stores. I have also have used models who are young and therefore appealing to my teenage audience who would look up to these people and buy the magazine to find out about their lives and music. The way the models are fashioned is also to appeal to the target audience, as they are wearing clothes the target audience themselves like and want to own. This again plays on the idea that they idolise the people in the magazine, however the laid back appearance of their hair and make up makes them appear approachable and normal, which is something which would appeal to the audience as the celebrities seem just like them. The models images are large on the page to attract the audience and make the publication stand out when on the shelf.
