My class commented on my contents page first. They said they prefer the pink and purple version best as the colours go best together and don't take the attention away from the main features of the page. They also said they like the layout of the actual stories better than the way it was on my flat plan as I took their advice on board, so this is good. Some of the class said they like the use of fonts as they are fitting to my target audience however others said I should use the same fonts that are on my front cover just to add consistency.
They next looked at my front cover. This received generally positive feedback, however some people suggested more needs to be added to the masthead, which I planned to do anyway, and others also said I should fade the outline of the bullet in the corner so it blends in more and looks less random. One classmate also suggested maybe making the bottom strip pink and the bullet purple.
My double page spread divided my class, with half liking each version. People said the image in the text didn't fit properly with the version with the larger main image, but people also said they liked the idea of having a poster and that this is a convention which appeals to my target audience. They suggested that I should add more colour to the page with the interview on though.
