Prelim Evaluation

I have reviewed my prelim tasks and discussed with my peers and my teacher what can be improved. I need to be careful when copy and pasting images as they have reappeared under other images which look extremely unprofessional. I also need to make sure I use equidistance when putting pictures on my front cover as there are different size gaps around WOB images. There should be much less white space surrounding images as this can be boring for the reader if too much space is empty. This could be solved by adding a coloured background or a large image as a background so no space is empty on the page. The font on the front page appears to be handwritten which works because it is a school magazine, but on a music magazine it would not and my teacher recommended I use a serif font when I create my final project. I also need to make the main image much larger so it was obvious it is the main image. The main image needs to be at least 70% bigger than any other picture on the page, and mine isn’t. The front cover is also a bit to text heavy as it should be interesting and engaging to encourage people to read the inside. The bullet needed to be larger and the font bolder so it was more eye-catching as it blends into the image slightly at the moment.

My contents page should have another picture on it so it is more interesting to look at, maybe one with a person or group of people in. There should be much less white space between the page numbers and the side of the page. Page three is the contents page and therefore doesn’t need to be included in the list and the list should start on page four. Again, the font should be different (maybe a serif font) and for a music magazine the handwriting style of the heading would not be appropriate. Again less word could be used so the page isn’t boring for the reader but it does explain well what the pages will include, which some readers may like.
