Magazine Analysis - We Love Pop (Contents Page)

This contents page is busy and has a lot of different features on, and the actual magazine content is not the main feature on the page. It is located after the letter from the editor, which is the predominate feature on this page. Also, the main stories are shown using images of the bands and artists which is appealing to the audience who are not necessarily looking to read a lot of text and want to be able to locate the stories they're interested in quickly. This idea is continued with the images of the posters that are within the magazine at the bottom of the page, as this interests the audience who want to have these. The page is also mainly white which makes the images and writing stand out and appear brighter which is appealing to the target audience. The colours chosen are pink and blue, with black and yellow too. This is a large range which will attract the target audience and it is colourful and attractive. It is done in a way that doesn't look tacky as the colours are not overused they are just put in thin lines around the page. The logo is also on the page so it is still clear which magazine this is and adds another visual element to the page. There is a website address at the bottom of the page as well which shows the interactive element of it and broadens the audience.
